Maribú Caribe Hotel

Hotel Maribú Caribe is a well-known, mid-range hotel located in Puerto Limón, on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. It is famous for its unique architecture—specifically its white, circular bungalows with conical thatched roofs—and its dramatic clifftop location overlooking the ocean.

Location & Setting: The hotel is situated about 2.5 km (1.5 miles) north of downtown Limón and roughly 750 meters from Playa Bonita, a popular local beach.

The View: Because it sits on a rocky bluff rather than directly on the sand, it offers some of the best panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea in the area.

Atmosphere: It has a “vintage” Caribbean resort feel. While it’s near the city, the lush gardens and ocean breeze make it feel relatively secluded.
